ABOUT ME

My name is Knytro.

I was born in South London to Jamaican parents, raised between the UK and the United States, carrying the sound of both worlds in my blood. From the earliest days, I was a lyricist, singer, songwriter, and poet—shaping words into weapons and worlds.

In 2013, my grind led me to sign an exclusive deal with MTA Records, the independent label owned by legendary producers Chase & Status. My debut release under the label, Project Haarpoon (produced by High Frequency & 3rd Son), was called the “Best Mixtape of 2013” by Zane Lowe of BBC Radio 1.

That same year, I performed across the UK on the Brand New Machine tour with Chase & Status, MC Rage, Moko, Liam Bailey, Tempa T, Jacob Banks, Elli Ingram, and Pusha-T. I stepped on some of the biggest stages, including the London O2 Arena, and landed a feature on Chase & Status’s Brand New Machine album with the track “Gangsta Boogie”.

I’ve supported icons like The Game, Snoop Dogg, and Public Enemy, while building collaborations across hip hop, EDM, reggae, and dancehall. My portfolio includes work with Joell Ortiz, Marc 7, MC Supernatural, Lil Simz, Sway, KSI, Cassie Veggies, Foreign Beggars, and more. Unreleased collaborations also sit in the vault with reggae legends like Busy Signal, Beenie Man, Assassin (Agent Sasco), Gyptian, Capleton, Konshens, and Tommy Lee.

By 2016, I had left MTA and entered a three-year journey of rebirth—moving between the UK, Jamaica, Africa, and America. Those years expanded my range, pulling me into deeper sonic worlds and refining my vision of music not just as entertainment, but as medicine.

My press history spans VIBE, The Source, MTV Iggy, Noisey, Clash, The 405, Earmilk, BBC Radio 1, KissFM UK, and more—but my story is bigger than articles. It is the story of survival, resilience, and transformation.

Now, through Knytroverse.com, I’ve built a home for my music, visuals, and story. This is the world where everything I’ve created can live and grow—a digital city jungle, a portal for fans and seekers to enter. And as my path unfolds, new ventures in wellness and healing are beginning to rise alongside the music. My music is my truth. It is my super power, as well as it is my offering. And this is just the beginning.
